To all Procurement Officers and Buyer Zone Users,
The OGP will shortly be re-launching our client website, the Buyer Zone, within the Government domain and network. Visitors to the current website will be automatically redirected to the new site from Thursday 30 July.
The new Buyer Zone has been developed in response to client feedback, and particularly offers improved search functionality. The site has been built in conjunction with the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and is hosted within the Government network. Ongoing hosting and maintenance of the site will be managed by OGCIO. This opportunity also helps to align us with the Government of Ireland brand, and incorporates vital enhanced security features in line with best practice.
How do you access the new Buyer Zone?
If you are already a registered user on the Buyer Zone, the only requirement to access the new site will be to reset your password at your first login attempt. All existing usernames will remain unchanged.
What are the security features?
One of the new security features is a 2 step authentication process to login. A secure link is sent to the registered email address of each user every time they login. This link is valid for one “click” only. It can be re-sent by the user to another email account (gmail/yahoo) if the user wishes to access the Buyer Zone on a different device.
Once you have accessed the Buyer Zone, your session remains live for as long as there is activity recorded on the site. If a user does not perform any action for a consecutive 60-minute period, they will be logged out of the Buyer Zone.
How do I perform a search to find active/live contracts?
The magnifying glass activates the search within the new Buyer Zone by keywords.
Another option to refine your search will be the Current Arrangements document (available on the landing page). This includes direct links to all contracts divided by OGP categories.
